Karen, a Louisiana native now proudly residing in South Carolina, brings over 25 years of leadership and clinical expertise to the field of behavioral health and addiction recovery. A devoted LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints fan, she blends southern warmth and resilience with a steadfast commitment to compassionate care.

Karen earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech University. She is licensed in Louisiana as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and serves as an LPC Clinical Supervisor, providing supervision for individuals pursuing professional licensure.

Since beginning her career in recovery services in 1999—when she helped establish one of Louisiana’s early juvenile drug court programs in Caddo Parish—Karen has dedicated herself to helping individuals and families overcome the challenges of addiction and mental health. She has held leadership and administrative positions since 2010, gaining broad experience across inpatient, outpatient, nonprofit, for-profit, private practice, and court-based settings.

Karen believes deeply that addiction and mental health are inseparable—each requiring holistic, integrated care. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in compassion, dignity, and respect for both patients and staff.
